QPR Clip Bluebirds Wings...

Cardiff 0-0 QPR

QPR put last Saturday behind them, with an excellent point away at Cardiff, of which could well have been all three...

Myself and PK had tickets for this one, but as it was re arranged to a midweek affair, we had to give it a miss. Although I struggled to get any sort of commentary, I nervously watched on the BBC text service and it certainly appeared that the R's had made a decent account of themselves against their high flying opponents and personally, am delighted with this result.

After the game, R's boss, Paulo Sousa said (from bbc.co.uk);

'We played very well against a team that wants to be in the Premier League next season. After last week's poor performance against Ipswich, we showed everyone that we can play good football.

We have played well and created a lot of chances but we still need to win these games. When we don't get three points after playing so well it is frustrating but I'm always proud of the players, especially after coming here to a difficult place and doing so well.'

QPR: Cerny, Delaney, Stewart, Mahon (Blackstock 88), Leigertwood, Routledge, Gorkss, Connolly, Cook, Miller (Alberti 58), Helguson (Di Carmine 90+1). Subs: Hall, Lòpez.

    Cheers Lofty. I could be doing the math wrong, but it looks to me like the the Rs have a record of 4-1-4 against the top 6 teams (Wolves, Birmingham, Reading, Cardiff, Bristol & Preston) at this point. I really hope they put a push together to make the playoffs because they can certainly pull out of a win against any of those teams.

    Great to seem them bounce back on the road against a strong team.

    well it was nice to see cerny and stewart back in the team. quite ironic that the return of the pair produced a clean sheet!
    Roll on sat at barnsley, i feel we'll be coming back with 3points from that if we play with the same heart as we did at ninian park

    cheers Bobo, I fully agree with you. I have kept quiet about the subject, but will go on record now by saying that since Derby away, I seriously do believe the R's will make the play offs. There, I have said it

    Leeroy - again mate, fully agree as the defending was shambolic on Saturday. I know continental managers like to tinker at times, but surely the defence is something not to be touched?

    I am looking forward to Barnsley and I don't know if this is a bad thing, but I am confident.
