What's That Coming Over The Hill??

Over to guest reporter 'DJ' for a review of the Dog Chewed The Handle gig last Saturday:

The Dogs B******s

The regular Dog Chewed The Handle groupies spent Saturday night at the Crown and Treaty in Uxbridge – fully expecting and a banging night out with the reappearance of DCTH – and we were NOT disappointed.

Arriving at the Crown early to avoid the expected queues meant that we were more than ready to party when the band took the stage. DCTH went through a classic set list, covering everything from The Black Crowe’s to Black Sabbath and The Kaiser Chiefs to The Killers.

After many gigs now, the band are tighter than ever as a unit and Gareth on vocals (who seems to be getting better and better) is the perfect rock and roll front man – energy, attitude and performance!

The highlight for me was the rocking version of ‘I Predict a riot’ (which always threatens to give me a heart attack) and watching Bignot and Cook strut their stuff to the Arctic Monkeys!

Cheers for a great night Gaz and the Boys - see you at the next gig!

Cheers DJ for helping with my very busy schedule!

It indeed was a great night and the band constantly improve each time we see them!

The highlight for me is as always, The Who's 'I can't explain', but also the version of the 'Automatics' MONSTER - which definitely gets the crowd going!!

    Rock On \m/

    thanks Chalky.

I take it that this is indeed the new drummer of the band posting a comment :) A fine addition to a great band if I may say so and a great performance on Saturday!

The reviews have always been good, and rightly so!

Will see you again soon for sure...

p.s. a comment from Gaz wouldn't go a miss seeing as it's also a QPR blog and all.... (hint hint) ;P

Cheers Gaz, great to hear from you and that you have finally got round to commenting on LH ;). Glad you like it!

Also great to hear that your back in training too! Will be great to see you back!

As for the gigs, the reviews are an absolute pleasure to write! The band are going from strength to strength and get better each time we see you! Keep up the good work and I can't wait to hear some of your own material!

Glad to hear that you are still working on the GnR ;) Appreciate Axl has a sound of his own, but me and the boys have no doubt you will do them proud. Hows about trying 'Brownstone' or 'It's so Easy'?!?

Will see you next week, but myself and DJ booked tickets for the England game before the gig was announced... but we will be tearing sown the motorway to catch the second set!

Thanks again Gaz and Rock On!! \m/
